Do you worry that your age may hinder your success in the Canadian job market?

Are you in your 40's or maybe 50's and you worry that this may hinder your success in the Canadian job market?

Worry no more. From our experience, age does not seem to be an issue in Canada. Some companies even prefer to hire more mature candidates.  

Instead of worrying about your age (which is something you cannot change and puts you in a position of victimization), focus on other aspects of your profile, which you can actually take responsibility for.

For example, more important than your age is:

✅  Whether you have a progressive and flexible mindset vs. a rigid one
✅ Whether you keep learning new knowledge and skills
✅ Whether you are open to sharing your knowledge humbly and learning from others, including younger professionals. We can all teach and learn from each other!

TIPS:
✅ You don't even have to mention your age or date of birth in your resume. 
✅ You also don't have to report your experience beyond the last 5-10 years.
