Government updates processing times in online tools

The Minister of Immigration, Sean Fraser, announced, today, updates to the online “processing time” tool.

The website update is part of IRCC's effort to modernize the immigration system and make processes clearer.

Most permanent resident and citizenship services will now use dynamic processing times.

New calculations will be published weekly based on data from the previous six months.

Dynamic processing times for temporary residency services are already in place, based on data from the last eight or 16 weeks.
